f you printed your templates straight onto colorful card, you can skip this step. Draw around the main lantern template onto colorful card of your choice and cut out. Then trace around the decoration templates onto colorful paper and cut out. Now arrange the decoration templates onto the main lantern template.

You could also choose to add extra decorations to our cut out Ramadan crafts printable. I have added some golden strips to mine. Secure with glue. If parts of the paper decorations overhang the lantern template, turn the template over and trim around to neaten up. Then use felt tips pens to add smaller, more intricate details and decorations to your cut out Ramadan crafts printable. Punch a hole in the top and bottom of the Ramadan lantern.

To make a paper tassel for the bottom of your cut out Ramadan crafts printable, measure a strip of paper 8cm by 18cm. Cut out. Now use your ruler to measure a strip at the top of the paper 2cm wide and parallel to one of the longest sides of the paper strip. Next, go along the bottom edge of the paper creating snips up to the line you drew earlier. Now, starting at one end of the paper, roll the strips into a tight roll. When you get near to the end, take a length of string and secure it with glue or double-sided sticky tape near the end of the tassel.

Continue to roll, securing the end of the paper strip in the glue or sticky tape. Then cut another strip of paper (I have used gold to keep with my color scheme) 2cm in width and about 6cm in length. Wrap around the top of the paper tassel for a neater finish. Secure with glue or sticky tape. Attach your paper tassel to the bottom of your cut out Ramadan crafts printable.

Then take another length of string for the top. Find the halfway point of the string and thread through the top hole on the Ramadan lantern. Then thread the ends of the string through the loop and tighten in a lark’s head knot. Tie a knot at the end of the string to create a loop. And there you have it – a beautiful paper Ramadan lantern made with our cut out Ramadan crafts printable!
